Johnny Cowley - Goalkeeper |
 |
|
Plays for Purton on a Saturday. Superb
goalie and a great find for The Nine Elms.
|
James Pottick - Defence |
|
A Wroughton bag. Versatile across our back four
and an all round lovely man.
|
James Townsend - Centre
Half |
|
Club Captain of The Nine Elms (only just). Brilliant
centre half, solid in the tackle, great in the air. Will be great
one day. Plays for Purton on Saturdays.
|
Alan Russell - Centre Half |
|
Solid at the back with JT. Most annoying player anyone
will ever play against. Great in the air and good passes. Plays
for Minety on a Saturday.
|
Paul Steele - Centre Half |
| |
A centre forwards nightmare. He knows
he is better than anyone, just wish he could play every week. Another
Elms original.
|
Rob Biltcliffe - Left Back |
| |
Took him a few years to establish himself as a regular.
A Nine Elms original. Very reliable whether in a back 3 or 4. Will
come good in years to come.
|
AJ Mathew - Right Back |
| |
Started as a Centre Forward but the gaffer moved
him to right back where he has been superb. Great lad to have around.
Pacy and very skilful but can’t head. Also plays for Minety.
|
| Michael Lawson - Centre Midfield |
| |
Great player but all left foot. Still adapting himself
to Elms football.
|
Paul Bullimore - Mr Versatile |
| |
Another Nine Elms original. Bully can play absolutely
anywhere and will never let you down. Great on the left or right
back or midfield.
|
| Ben Hinson - Goalkeeper/Midfield |
| |
Will forever be remembered for winning the league
single handedly last year literally.
|
Steve Townsend - Left Midfield |
| |
Finally returned after leaving us for The Lava Lounge.
Great left foot and knows where the goal is.
|
Phil McDonough - Midfield |
| |
Absolutely brilliant anywhere in the midfield. Great
in the air and tenacious in the tackle. Rapid as well. Just needs
to improve his English.
|
Steve Yeardley - Anywhere |
| |
Brilliant, brilliant footballer, defence, midfield,
up front with Wozzer. Will be man of the match wherever you play
him. Represents Highworth Town on a Saturday.
|
Marcus Hall - Centre Midfield |
| |
Brilliant passer of a football. Great tackler. Great
when he walks in the changing rooms. Pity he plays for Wootton Bassett.
Longest in the shower.
|
Mike Lees - Centre Midfield |
| |
Plays right back for Purton. Solid player for The
Elms, great tackler and passer. Needs to score more goals though.
|
Matt Dawe - Midfield |
| |
Ever so not reliable. Brilliant centre midfielder,
absolute 100%er. Would be in anyone’s team if he was 21. Plays
for Minety on a Saturday.
|
Ed Jose - Forward |
| |
Most skilful player in the pub by a country mile.
Impossible to match, great distribution, again needs to score more
and stop getting educated at university.
|
Ross Peart - Forward |
| |
Great touch, been missing for a while due to baby.
Knows where the goal is. Plays for Highworth reserves.
|
John McDonough - Centre Forward |
| |
Mr Angry in football. Absolute clinical footballer
and finisher but needs more composure in front of goal. Calm down.
|
David Wood - Centre Forward |
| |
Probably the best signing the gaffer has ever made.
Currently nursing a broken femur. Awesome footballer. Not much more
to say.
|
David Brown - Right Back/Midfield |
| |
Plays for Minety on Saturdays. Great wing player.
100%er probably play anywhere and will chip in with the odd goal.
|
Ryan Child - Left Midfield |
| |
Another Purton player. Don’t know how to describe
him, Bambi on ice comes to mind. Great footballer to have in the
squad, needs to be consistent though.
|
Warren Fuller - Centre Forward |
| |
Purton club captain. Rebel without a cause. Scored
over 400 goals for The Nine Elms in 7 seasons. Aggressive and angry
striker who knows what he wants. A perfectionist. Another Nine Elms
original.
|
Russell Fuller - Centre Forward |
| |
Warren Fuller but skinnier. There’s just no
stopping him. Goal machine, so skilful, rapid but got an ankle like
chocolate. Instrumental last year scoring 36 goals in 12 games.
|
Clive Fuller - Manager (apart from
Alex Ferguson) |
| |
The most successful manager in England. A lovely
man. Expects the best from his team but understands alcohol. Does
have a big say on Sunday morning. Very proud of all the players
that have worn a Nine Elms shirt with pride. A true gaffer.
